Peace Lutheran Fellowship of Port Ludlow is an open and welcome-to-all worshiping fellowship consistent with the practices of the ELCA. Calendar:

  • The Women's Wednesday Morning Book Group/Prayer Fellowship meets Wednesdays at the Jefferson County Library in Port Hadlock at 10:00 AM. Sometimes we must meet elsewhere, so please call Jean Schubert @ 732-7383 for the latest information. We're always ready for others to join in, so come enjoy the book and get in on the discussion, all within an atmosphere of genuine fellowship and shared prayer.

  • The Men’s Bible Study meets at 9:00 AM on Fridays at Hadlock Computer Supply, across from QFC. Open to all. We meet weekly on Fridays to study the upcoming Gospel lesson that will be read on Sunday Morning in worship. Contact Pastor Ron if you have questions or would like a study guide: 360-620-2365.

  • Join the quilters at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Thursdays from 9:00-1:00, stitching and piecing warm quilted blankets for Lutheran World Relief. Talk to Mavis Sorensen or Sue Lund for more information.

  • For more events, please see our News and Calendar pages via the tabs above.

Volunteering:

  • Senior Meals at the Tri-Area Community Center: The hard-working team who cook the meal on the first Thursday of each month at the Tri-Area Community Center invite you to come volunteer once and give it a try…or be a regular and enjoy a good meal and fellowship. Let Audrey Witsoe, Jean Schubert, Joni Williams, or Janet Getzendaner know if you could set the table or peel potatoes, etc! Call the Tri-Area Community Center, 732-4822, to sign up for the dinner at 4:00.
  • Donations/collections:
    • Personal size items of soap, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. can be given to Janet Getzendaner for the veterans that camp in the woods near Sequim.
    • Audrey Witsoe is collecting the tabs off of aluminum beverage cans for Ronald McDonald House.
    • The quilters that meet at LCR each week, stitch quilts that are sent to Lutheran World Relief. If you have sheets in good condition that you don’t use, or cotton fabric that you could donate, bring them to church with you and give them to Mavis Sorensen.
    • Double-bagged plastic grocery bags for Backpacks for Kids can be given to Pam Kelly, Harold Jensen, or Joni Williams.
  • Sunday service opportunities:
    • We are looking for another one or two crew volunteers to set up and clean up after communion.  All the stuff is at church, it takes about 25 minutes before service, and there are lots of helpers to get you started.   Contact Karen Jensen (ludlowjensens@gmail.com or 360-301-1133) if you can be in the regular rotational schedule or a substitute. PLF is an Equal Volunteer Organization…men can do this, too.
    • We have a wonderful group of people who frequently bake the bread each Sunday who would be happy to share that wonderful aroma of fresh baked bread in your kitchen.  We’ll share our recipes, too.  Sign ups are at church or you can contact Karen at ludlowjensens@gmail.com to be connected to one of our bakers.
    • Please also consider signing up to bring flowers for the altar. The sign up sheet is at nametag table on Sunday mornings.
    • Willing to be a scripture reader on Sunday or assist in worship? Let Mark Getzendaner know at getzetc@gmail.com.
    • Our friendly hospitality includes time to visit over coffee and treats after service.   Thanks for signing up for a turn at bringing snacks.  Simplicity is great with cookies and/or cake…but we leave that selection up to you.  The gluten-free options are not only delicious, but provide something for those who limit gluten.  The sign up sheet for fellowship is at nametag table on Sunday mornings, or contact Carol McClung (mcclungrc4@msn.com).
    • Join choir and make a joyful noise unto the Lord! This vibrant group meets every Sunday at 9:00 AM at the Beach Club and periodically on Wednesdays, please see the Calendar tab above.
